Child Marriage Prohibition Cell

At DGBK College, Kasarda, we are committed to promoting awareness and preventing the social evil of child marriage. In line with the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, the Child Marriage Prohibition Cell has been established to educate students and the community about the legal, social, and health consequences of child marriage. The cell works to empower young individuals, especially girls, by ensuring access to education and opportunities for personal growth.

Objectives:

To conduct campaigns, seminars, and workshops highlighting the negative impact of child marriage on education, health, and society.
To spread awareness about the legal provisions under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, and encourage reporting of violations.
To encourage students, especially girls, to complete their education and become self-reliant.
To provide counseling and assistance to students or families facing pressure for child marriage.
To collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and stakeholders in preventing child marriages and supporting affected individuals.
